Our Goal is to Provide Adolescents With a Different Experience of Themselves and Others.

We match treatment and interventions to the dynamic
needs of individuals in their systems, not just based
on symptoms and diagnosis.

We see teenagers as individuals, not just in terms of their diagnoses, and view symptoms as a way to adapt and communicate in complicated external environments. We emphasize resilience rather than illness.

We acknowledge the impact of experiences with racism, sexism,
homophobia and transphobia, as well as mental health stigma, on our teens.

Our Integrative Approach to Mental Health:

The care we provide is person-centered and relation-based. We individualize treatment to the unique needs of teenagers and their families. We draw from the following theoretical approaches:

  • Attachment-focused

  • Psychodynamic

  • DBT

  • CBT

  • Acceptance-based

We emphasize consistent staffing, daily routine, structure and communication. We want to help teens develop healthy relationships with adults and peers and set appropriate limits.

We include schools, families and outside mental health systems in all stages of our treatment, both because these have an impact on teens in our program, and to prepare for a successful transition following discharge.

About Virtual Mental Health Care

A growing body of evidence suggests that virtual mental health care is as safe and effective as in-person treatment.  The data that we collect at Bradley REACH suggests that our patients enter the program with similar levels of acuity as the patients in our in-person program, and improve at similar rates.

Virtual care also has big practical advantages for children and families, eliminating the cost and time of transportation and making it easier to participate in family therapy.

Virtual behavioral health care like Bradley REACH also means that we are able to connect outstanding providers with patients in areas that may have a shortage of mental health workers.

“It is a wonderful program and being virtual is magical, and eliminated a lot of the stress and hardship.”
